Still considered one of the larger networks in the US, Sprint is ready to offer a huge deal for those looking to get a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. This promo was leaked earlier though a very excited insider, so there is very little surprise in the actual promotion. The biggest surprise is the fact that the company actually went through with it. Of the three phones offered by Sprint, two of them are flagship phones and are considered to be very popular handsets. This sale is not just to boost the margins for lesser known phones. It is there to wow those looking for something on the high end.
Sprint’s offer puts the Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S2, and the Samsung Galaxy Victory on a Buy one get one sale. If you are looking to score one for you and your mate, this would be a perfect holiday gift for a couple of Samsung Galaxy phone lovers.
There is very little not to love about this promo apart from Sprint itself. The company is not that well known in the reliability and coverage department. Before you even plan on getting this deal, make sure you have proper coverage in the area you will be using it in.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 sells for just $199.99 on a 2 year contract. On most networks, you would only get one phone at that price. Sprint basically offers the unit at $100 each for a limited time. The Samsung Galaxy S2 retails for $99.99 on a 2 year contract, which puts each phone at nearly $50 apiece. The Samsung Galaxy Victory is an oddball in this sale. It’s not quite as remarkable as the first two, but at least it only costs you around $49.99 on a 2 year contract putting the phone at a $25 price per piece.
One thing to take note of is that the Galaxy S3 sold on this sale has Jelly Bean preinstalled so you won’t have to go through the hassle of updating it on your own. The Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Victory come with Ice Cream Sandwich preinstalled.
For more savings, Sprint offers a sell back service allowing you to sell back your old handset for up to $300. Of course, you would have to have a nearly mint flagship phone at the very least to even score a $300 price on this offer.
Sprint advises their customers to order the handset before December 20 at 4 pm EST if you want to have any chance of getting it delivered in time for Christmas. There was no mention of just how long the sale will run, but presumably, the sale ends on Christmas morn.
